education & enrichment programs
The Walter P. Chrysler Museum Foundation is proud to offer Cars, Children and Community, education programs for students in grades K-12 designed to:
- increase students' knowledge of science and social and historical changes brought about by the automobile;
- help students make connections to classroom learning and to maximize their visit to the Museum;
- enhance students' understanding of the many people, processes and parts it takes to make a car; and
- introduce students to automotive-related careers.
All of the Museum's academic programs are aligned with state and federal education benchmark guidelines. Offerings for elementary school children emphasize language arts, science, math and social studies concepts - as well as M.E.A.P. skills. The middle and high school programs investigate Michigan Career Pathways while introducing older students to career planning in a changing technological world.
